This is important because it works in all areas of our life. ? Ha Ha.Īny way you understand the principle. If he planted watermelon seed he would get watermelon. If you planted apple seed he would get apples. So if he planted corn seed he would get corn. When a farmer would plant a seed in the ground he would expect “in due season” to receive what ever that plant was. That is an important principle to remember when you are talking about reaping and sowing. Principle # 1: What you reap is what you sow. So, due season is –a special period of time when we shall receive that which rightfully belongs to us. Merriam Webster’s dictionary defines the word due as “something that rightfully belongs to you.” And the word season means “a special period.” So I put both of these definitions together to come up with my own definition. These are the words that God spoke to me last night as I was sitting on the pew. I want us this morning to focus in on that verse 9 and especially the words “In Due Season”. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit. Gal 6:9 MSG So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. Don’t get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time. Galatians 6:9 NLT So don’t get tired of doing what is good. 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. 7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. Galatians 6:6 NKJV Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches. Theme: God’s Word to His church that it is time to reap what we have been sowing.
